Jeff Ryer to Speak at Leadership Danbury Event

Jeff Ryer, President and CEO of Ryer Associates, Inc., has been asked to serve as a panelist for the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce Leadership Danbury program being held on May 28, 2009 at Connecticut Light & Power Company in Newtown.  Leadership Danbury is a special program designed to develop the region’s local leadership potential by providing forums for future business leaders to learn about business opportunities and community responsibility from current leaders in the Greater Danbury area. The topic for the event is Quality Community Challenges to Economic Development.  The panelists will discuss economic conditions and the potential for economic growth in the state and Greater Danbury area.  Other panelists include Wayne Shepperd, Director of the Office of Economic Development in Danbury, Mark Nolan of Nolan Enterprises Real Estate Investment, and Joe Wrinn of Goodfellow-Ashmore Commercial Real Estate Services.

Jeff Ryer to Serve on CERC Broker Panel

Jeff Ryer has been asked to serve as a panelist at the 8th Annual SiteFinder Showcase event sponsored by the Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC) on June 2, 2009.  The event is being held at the Oak Lane Golf & Country Club in Woodbridge, Connecticut. The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation and public-private partnership that provides clients with objective research, marketing and economic development services consistent with its mission of making Connecticut a more competitive business location. Mike and Lynn Ryer Named "Humanitarians of the Year"

On April 28, 2009 Mike and Lynn Ryer were given the Robert S. Young  “Humanitarian of the Year” award at the Ability Beyond Disability’s “Reflections Gala…Celebrating the Promise of Tomorrow.”  The event attracted over 550 attendees and raised over $570.000 in support of people with disabilities.  Mike and Lynn were heralded for their thirty year commitment to the Ability Beyond Disability organization.

The annual award is given to members of the community who exemplify extraordinary community participation and volunteerism.  Both have served the organization in various capacities including serving on the Board of Directors. As the former chairman of the Development Committee, Mr. Ryer “paved the way for the impressive fund-raising track record that the agency has maintained,” the agency said.

Jeff Ryer has been elected President of Connecticut Chapter of CCIM and joins an expectional management team that includes John Cafasso, CCIM as Vice President, Bryan Atherton, CCIM as Treasurer, and Rich Rhatigan, Secretary.

Michael Ryer of Ryer Associates Honored as "Citizen of the Year"
Ryer Associates announces that Mike Ryer has been honored as "Citizen of the Year" by the Ridgefield Rotary Club.  The award is in recognition of Mike's 40 years of service as volunteer, board member and booster to many of the areas' non-profit communities including Ability Beyond Disability, the Ridgefield Visiting Nurses Associates, Saint Stephens Church and the Ridgefield Community Center.
